GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Phase one of Main Street's Uplift project is getting into gear and changes are coming to Downtown.

Beginning at 8 a.m. Monday construction crews will begin milling the asphalt from 1st through 4th Streets. Downtown Partnership officials say the project will take most of the week.

The street repairs are just one of many changes Grand Junction residents will soon see downtown.

You can also expect construction crews to add more lighting, seating, and trees in the near future.
