Hundreds of revelers ring in New Year with DUI

FRUITA, Colo. (KKCO) - Colorado State Patrol says 444 people rand in the New Year with a DUI.

State Patrol officials say despite plenty of warnings, hundreds still chose to drink and drive.

State Patrol reports between the Thanksgiving and New Year holidays this past year, nine people were killed in alcohol-related crashes in Colorado.

During this most recent campaign, the Fruita CSP Troop 4-A made four arrests.
