GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Police are on the hunt for a man they say robbed a local store at knifepoint.

It happened just before 8:40 p.m. Tuesday at the Auto Zone near 28 1/2 Road and North Avenue.

Officials say a man walked into the store, pulled out a knife, and demanded money from an employee. He then fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Investigators say they have a limited description of the suspect at this point, but are working on getting surveillance video from the store.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans.
