GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - A man has been sentenced to 30 days in jail and two years probation for having a standoff with police.

Derek Sheley was sentenced Wednesday after pleading guilty to reckless endangerment and possession of a firearm.

Sheley fired gunshots, one into a neighbor’s apartment, and then wouldn’t open his front door for deputies.

The SWAT Team was called in and eventually broke into Sheley’s apartment, where they found him sitting in a wheelchair.
