GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)- Grand Junction High School has been rallying their support behind one of their students with cancer.
The school held a pep rally to show Michael Bamford they are behind his fight against the deadly disease.
Bamford has both cystic fibrosis and leukemia.
The pep rally raised over $2,000 for Bamford's medical needs.
The staff of Grand Junction High School said Michael Bamford was excited for all the support and he wants desperately to be able to come back to school.
At the rally, the mens team, including coaches and police officers, shaved their heads and waxed their legs. The womens team colored their hair orange.
