Man arrested for breaking down family's door

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - A Grand Junction man is under arrest after being accused of breaking down a door while a family he didn’t know was sleeping.

Grand Junction Police say Robert Foster started banging on the door of a home at 2545 Gunnison Avenue while a family of three slept Saturday night.

They say Foster was eventually able to kick down their front door.

Authorities say he then went and hid behind their TV yelling that someone was after him and trying to kill him.

Police say the family wasn’t harmed but was shaken up.

Foster is facing charges of first degree criminal trespass which is a felony.

Authorities are looking into the possibility that he may have been under the influence of something.

He was taken to the hospital and later booked into the jail.
