PALISADE, Colo. (KKCO) - A petition to recall the mayor of Palisade has been certified.

A petition was circulating to recall Mayor Dave Walker, but needed at least 103 valid signatures to move forward with a recall election.

Town Clerk Carol Speakman says she’s certified the petition and will now notify the town Board of Trustees and the Mayor.

The Mayor is allowed to protest the action in writing.

The Town Board then has to schedule an election no more than 90 days after their next meeting.
