FRUITA, Colo. (KKCO) -- AARP is hoping to educate voters at this weekend's Fruita Fall Fest.
The program’s national "You've Earned a Say” tour will be at the festival Friday and Saturday with their interactive trailer.
AARP officials hope to raise awareness about issues such as Medicare, social security and financial security to help give the 50-plus generation an option to have their voices heard.
"Next week will be the debate in Denver at DU, and we want to make sure that you've earned a say as a part of that national conversation that as people head to the ballot box they are informed about where the candidates stand on Medicare and social security and the options for changes,” said Cathy Lasnik, the senior program specialist for AARP Colorado.
The interactive tour bus has iPads with informational videos and also offers those who stop by the chance to make their own video to get their voice heard.
