Actor Paul Walker dies in fiery crash

SANTA CLARITA VALLEY, Calif. NBC News has confirmed Paul Walker, the actor best know for his role in "The Fast and The Furious," has died.

Walker was involved in a car crash while attending a charity event for his organization 'Reach Out Worldwide.' He was a passenger in a friend's car, in which both lost their lives, according to a post on Walker's Facebook page.

Walker's rep has confirmed the actor's death.

The crash happened about 3:30 p.m. Pacific time, according to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station. The Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived to find the vehicle engulfed in flames.

The two victims were pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
