EAGLE, Colo. (AP) -- An investigation is underway after a private plane went off the side of a runway after landing at Eagle County Regional Airport.
The replica Spitfire aircraft crashed at about 10:40 a.m. Sunday, damaging the nose cone and propeller. The pilot, who was the only person on board, was not injured.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash, which closed the runway for about 45 minutes.
