GRAND JUNCTION, Colo (KKCO) -- One local business is getting some major attention as they have been named the Colorado department of agriculture business of the month.

Alida's fruits is January's 'featured member' of Colorado proud, appearing on the agricultures monthly newsletter and featured in this months Colorado 'business spotlight'.

Alida's famous peach jalapeno jam was reviewed by nationally renowned food critic Phil Lempert.

Lempert scored the jam as a 'hit' in his review.

"You work at these things and you never know when somebody’s going to pick up on your product, this isn't the first time but I would say it's the biggest time," says Farmer Bob.

Phil Lempert is one of American's leading consumer trend watchers and analysts, he is the food trends editor and correspondent for NBC’s Today Show.
