American Craft Beer Week kicks off with nod to female brewers

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Monday marked the beginning of American Craft Beer Week.

Nine Colorado breweries, including Grand Junction's Kannah Creek, tapped special kegs brewed by a collaboration of women to kick off the festivities.

The Cherry Blossom Saison was brewed by 10 Colorado women hoping to bring attention to the brave women who choose to brew in a male-dominated industry.

All proceeds from the Saison will go to the Pink Boots Society, a group dedicated helping women in the beer industry advance their careers.
