PALISADE, Colo. Those with a taste for art and sweet treats got to enjoy both in Palisade Saturday.

Main Street merchants teamed up for the fifth annual Art and Chocolate Walk.

Art galleries, such as The Blue Pig, showcased paintings, photographs, jewelry and more from local artists. They then had chocolate for visitors to eat while browsing.

The Art and Chocolate Walk not only offers people a chance to see the work of local artists, but also to find some unique Christmas gifts.

"Gift items that are perfect for the Christmas and holiday season," said Kay Crane, the director of The Blue Pig. "Of course, artists are always happy to have their work on display, so the more people that come in, the happier we are."

Eight Main Street stores took part in the event.

If visitors stopped by all of the merchants, they were put in a raffle to win a basket of art and chocolate.
