Attorney General candidate stops in Grand Junction

Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) --- State Representative Mark Waller paid a visit to a Downtown Grand Junction restaurant Wendesday evening as a stop on his campaign for Colorado Attorney General.

The office is currently held by John Suthers who faces term limits in 2014.

Waller, who is the house minority leader from Colorado Springs, is a former Eel Paso county prosecutor.

Waller will resign his leadership post in the house to run for Attorney Aeneral, but he won't give up his seat in the house. Waller is originally from Illinois but has called Colorado home for ten years and he plans to stay.

"I want to make sure that my children have a safe, happy, healthy place to grow up," says Waller "I want that for every Colorado school kid and I think that my unique set of experiences and my skills lend itself to being value added as the Colorado Attorney General."
