GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) Wednesday night was another big step for the renovation of the Avalon Theatre.
Grand Junction’s city council voted unanimously to approve the sale of the theatre’s naming and sponsorship rights.
Donors now have the chance to leave their legacy at the historic site. The only requirement is that the name will have to include the word "Avalon."
Donors can put their name on different parts of the theatre as well, including the multi-purpose room, the roof-top terrace, or the main theatre.
The size and name of the donations will be brought before council for final approval.
