Over the weekend, an adult bear was killed by a vehicle heading west on I-70 near Glenwood Springs.

According to our sister station KUSA in Denver, the two- or three-year-old bear was crossing the interstate when a car struck it.

No one in the car was hurt, although the vehicle was damaged.

It serves as a reminder to take caution as you travel through Colorado’s busy highways this season.
