GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) Three Mesa County school board district candidates each got a hefty check to fund their campaigns from a front range entrepreneur.
According to the Secretary of State's Transparency in Contribution and Expenditure Reporting website, Patrick Kanda, Mike Lowenstein and John Sluder each had $5,000 added to their monetary contributions for their campaign.
TRACER attributes the donations to Greenwood Village resident Edward McVaney who founded JD Edwards Corporation, which was ultimately purchased by Oracle.
