GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Future brides were figuring out exactly how to make their special day one to really remember at Sunday's Wedding of a Lifetime Expo.

"When you're looking online there's so much," said bride-to-be Cassadie Mims. "Having them all here and being able to walk around and actually talk to people about the stuff they're offering, their businesses. It's really nice."

Mims has been engaged since November, but she hadn't had a chance to hash out the details of her wedding until Saturday's event.

"We just graduated from college, so it's been difficult trying to figure out our careers and planning a wedding," she said.

However, Mims started seeing her wedding vision come together after spending a couple hours at the Wedding of a Lifetime Expo where more than 110 vendors filled the rooms at Two Rivers Convention Center.

"I believe I'm going to have my caterer after today," she said. "Possibly a venue. Possibly a photographer. I don't know I haven't seen it all yet. But I'm sure I'll walk away with mostly everything planned."

More than 500 brides and 1000 people in total came through the doors within the first two hours of the event giving businesses the opportunity to spread the word about their services to many in a short span of time.

"Vendors that don't have like a storefront perhaps or don't have an opportunity to touch a lot of customers on a daily basis, this is the chance to get in contact with hundreds of people in one place," said event organizer Christopher Britt.

Britt said January is a popular month for bridal shows across the country.
