Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) – The Business Incubator in Grand Junction recently won an award for Incubator of the Year, and now the organization is looking to spread its wings.
At Tuesday night’s Fruita city council meeting, the council unanimously approved a satellite office for the Business Incubator. The council also approved the necessary funds for the center to open.
The satellite office would be located in the Fruita Civic Center building.
"They offer so much in the way of education, so if they were to be able to offer that and work with the city, the chamber and the incubator, I just see great things happening for Fruita," says Shauna Davies, director of the Fruita Chamber of Commerce.
The incubator would have a 1,700 square-foot office in the civic center.
Organizers plan to provide business owners with tutorials and many -- but not all-- of the same services that you can find at the main location in Grand Junction.
