CHS Orchestra gives a powerful performance

Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) - Parents and teachers were left in the dark Wednesday night as the Central High School academic awards ceremony began.

The school's orchestra gave a dynamic performance, with a glow stick attached to each member's instrument. The group kicked off the awards night by playing Coldplay’s popular song "Clocks."

"I thought it was fun. I loved watching the different colors and how they were moving, and you could figure out who was playing and who had the melody, and who didn't," says Jean Willison an orchestra parent.

The CHS performing arts hall was packed with people, some even standing in the aisle to watch the performance.

The students say they look forward to performing at the event each year because they always try to make it a unique experience.
