GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Regardless of how much you care about animals, you can only help animals in need as much as your supplies will allow.
CLAWS rescues and re-homes nearly 600 cats every year, making them the largest cat-only shelter in the Grand Valley. Along with shelter cats, CLAWS has an extensive "foster home" network that the yalso must supply.
However, if they don't receive some much needed help from the community they may not be able to continue to help so many kitties.
The shelter is down to three bags of cat litter, which they say will only last three more days. In addition to the litter, they are running low on canned cat food and other kitty-related supplies.
CLAWS is an all volunteer organization with no paid employees, so any donations go directly to the cats. To reach the shelter, visit their website by clicking the link below, or calling their number:(970)-241-3793.
