Grand Junction, Colo (KKCO) --- Colorado Mesa University is bringing two new additions to campus, which is helping out one local restaurant.
Construction on a new residence building, called Garfield Hall, is underway and a ground breaking ceremony kicked off the construction for a new academic building.
All of this construction is benefiting Kannah Creek Brewing Company right across the street, as they usually see a slight decrease in sales over summer due to students leaving Grand Junction. Now, construction workers are taking their spot and helping the restaurant even out their sales.
Garfield Hall will have 200 beds and is expected to be completed in one month in order for students to fill up the dorms by the new school year.
However, construction on the new classroom will be ongoing until Fall of 2014.
