GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) Maroon and white will be crowding the city this week as Colorado Mesa University celebrates homecoming.

Festivities kicked off Monday morning with caramel apple decorating and the rest of the week is jam packed with activities for students and alumni.

This year, the University is looking to attract more members of the surrounding community to their events.

"Well it's a great connection," says Director of Alumni Relations, Rick Adleman. "We have a bunch of alumni coming back to town but it's a chance for the community to come on campus and get engaged with Colorado Mesa University."
