GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- It’s no ordinary day at Suplizio Field, as the Colorado Mesa University baseball team takes to the diamond for a Game of Hope.

Every season, the CMU baseball team designates one game to raise awareness for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life event.

Tonight, the first pitch against CSU Pueblo will be at 6:05 p.m., and ticket sales will go towards funding this year's Relay for Life in Grand Junction.

The Relay for Life is an annual overnight event where teams camp out and walk around a track to raise money for the fight against cancer.

Tickets for today's game are just $5 and $3 dollars. You can get them at the gate or at MBC Grand Broadcasting Studios, 1360 East Sherwood Drive.
