A two-car accident in Delta County has left one person dead. The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. today on Highway 65 near mile marker 5, between Delta and Cedaredge.

Colorado State Patrol said one person was pronounced dead on the scene. Officials did not release any information on other possible injuries.

CPS troopers said both cars suffered front-end damage. The cause of the crash is currently being investigated.

Highway 65 is currently closed between Austin Rd. and 2100 Rd.
