Car into tree sends one to hospital
A single-vehicle accident sends a car into a tree.
It happened Sunday night around 9 p.m.
The vehicle was traveling northbound on 27 Road in Orchard Mesa when the driver failed to make a turn onto westbound Highway 50.
Police suspect the driver blacked out due to a medical condition. They do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The driver went to the hospital by private transport but has since checked out.
No one else was involved or injured in the incident.
