GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- Imagine picking up your car from the shop, only to have your wheels fall off as you're driving away. That's exactly what happened to one driver early Saturday afternoon.
Authorities say it happened around 1:30 Saturday afternoon. A car was leaving the North Avenue Discount Tire, and when it crossed through the 28 Road intersection, the back two tires came off of the car.
The Grand Junction Police Department says there were no injuries and no one will be cited in the accident. Discount Tire told KKCO 11 News that it’s happy the driver is OK, and that a simple mistake was made.
The tire shop has fixed up the car and cleared everything with the driver.
