GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. On Tuesday Western Slope Toyota gave away a new van to the Youth Garden Project.

The organization helps create a connection between kids in the community and the food they eat, by growing different types of produce on their one and a half acre garden.

It also provides programs for children by connecting them with the other school districts.

The group says they hope to expand their reach to the community with the donation of the new Toyota van by being able to help transport kids to and from their programs.

“We feel incredibly honored to have won and to even have participated in the 100 Cars for Good program, it’s been a lot of fun" says Delite Primus from the Youth Garden Project.

Toyota officials said they plan to expand their contest to “300 Cars for Good.”
