GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- More transportation projects: That's what area chamber members and Grand Junction residents are hoping the city focuses on in the near future.
The Grand Junction Chamber of Commerce surveyed a number of people around the area to gather information for future city capital construction projects. Over 50 percent of those surveyed want the city to focus on transportation, indicating more work on the Beltway Project. This project would create a loop around the city.
Others also wanted more focus on North Avenue development. Almost 75 percent of those surveyed would also like to continue the TABOR funding mechanism to pay for these transportation projects.
