Christmas packages for active duty troops

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - The Daughters of the American Revolution from the Mount Garfield Chapter are asking for donations to help send Christmas care packages to active duty military troops.

They will use the money to go toward purchasing snack items, toiletries and personal items, as well as for postage to send the packages.

If you want to help, you can mail a check to:

If you have a friend or family member that is on active duty, you can email their name and address to the NSDAR Project Patriot Committee at austindrr@aol.com or kselover@earthlink.net.

The deadline to email names or donate toward care packages is Nov. 15, 2012. For more information, you can contact Sandra at (970 253-2450.
