The City Council votes to reject any commercial marijuana facilities.

Council members directed the City Attorney to follow the lead of state legislature about the commercial sale of marijuana.

They said they will revisit the issue after decisions are made at the state level.

Gov. John Hickenlooper has appointed a marijuana task force to regulate the growth and sale of pot in order to fully implement Amendment 64.

While cities cannot outlaw the use of marijuana, they can ban the sale of it within city limits.
