CLIFTON, Colo. People won't be able to visit the Clifton Branch Library this week, but library managers said the closure is only making the library better.

Mesa County Libraries decided to expand the Clifton Branch in a 1,200 square foot space next door.

"It was very crowded in here, especially during busy times," said Bob Kretschman, public information manager for Mesa County Libraries. "Definitely needed the room. This will give people a little more room to enjoy the library.

The area will house the children's section, giving kids and families their own space to enjoy reading and other activities the library puts on for them.

8,000 people walk through the doors of the Clifton Branch every month.
