GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. As legislative sessions get underway, local groups are making their way to the front range to ensure the Western Slope has a voice in the decisions made.
Club 20's annual Denver legislative trip is fast approaching and the group says it still has plenty of open space for those in the club and non-members.
Normally, they bring 70 people with them and officials say every person matters.
"Numbers count," says Club 20 Executive Director, Bonnie Petersen. "It's very important for us in Western Colorado to stand together to have a very strong voice and to show the legislature that we are part of this state."
While in denver, the group will have a panel discussion about fracking, a sit down with the president of Connect for Health Colorado, and meet with leaders about educational changes in the state.
