GRAND MESA, Colo. (KKCO) People ran around Powderhorn Mountain Resort Sunday for a fun challenge and a good cause.

It was the second annual Color Sunday Adventure Challenge, which benefits the Powderhorn Racing Club and Western Slope Center for Children.

"It's for a good cause," said Shannon McCluskey, who ran the 10k race. "The colors are beautiful this weekend. The weather's perfect. It's just a really fun event."

About 250 people participated in the races.

This was Powderhorn's last weekend of events until the slopes open, which is set for December 12.
