FRUITA, Colo. An annual summer concert tradition started for the year Thursday night, but there are more opportunities to enjoy music by the water.
"Not only do the locals enjoy going, but the people who are playing for us are inspired by the location," said Paul Nelson, of the Colorado Riverfront Foundation. "I've heard that many, many times over the years."
The Colorado Riverfront Concert Series began with blues musician Tab Benoit.
The July concert will feature the Freddy Jones Band and the Subdues will play at the concert in August.
Tickets are available at City Market. It costs $2 for the store to print the ticket.
Proceeds from the concerts benefit the Colorado Riverfront Foundation.
