GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Colorado breweries are teaming up to try out a recipe all at the same time.

Kannah Creek Brewing Company and five other breweries from various regions in Colorado brewed a Simultaneous Saison Thursday.

They're using the same recipe and yeast to make a classic French Belgian Farmhouse Ale at the same time.

People will then be able to taste the beers side by side when the breweries all go to a festival in Salida in July.

It's just one example of a cohesive craft beer industry, said Matt Simpson, head brewer at Edgewater Brewery.

"In the early 90's back when craft beer started taking off in Colorado, there wasn't a lot of information out there, there wasn't a lot of knowledge," Simpson said. "All the brewers in the state of Colorado came together and we were all helping each other out with our problems."

Differences in brewing systems and regional differences in water can make the same recipe taste different depending where it comes from.

Kannah Creek Brewing Company will have their beer for sale in a few weeks once it's done fermenting.
