GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Local couples learned how to make their marriages strong and lasting at a marriage conference this weekend.
Speakers at the "What's in your Rearview Mirror?" marriage conference encouraged 30 couples to examine their experiences together in the past to build even better futures.
This was the first large event for Focused on the Heart, a new non-profit in the Grand Valley, that the founder said aims to "breathe hope and encouragement into the lives of others."
"Don't be content with just having a good marriage, but have a great marriage," said Jackie Balding, founder of Focused on the Heart. "That was their message."
The event wrapped up with some laughs at a clean comedy show with Carlos Oscar Saturday night.
