GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Area cub scouts are learning about the knights of the round table at this year's summer camp.

The cub scouts did themed arts and crafts and played historical games.

The activities are part of the Western Colorado Council's Boy Scouts of American Day Camp where boys had the opportunity to meet other cub scouts from the Grand Valley.

"We teach them about knights, but also about how to be a good citizen, how to respect others in their community," said Monica Hillyer, the camp director.

There will be more medieval activities Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for campers at the Mesa County Fairgrounds.

Volunteers help run the two-day camp.
