Every year, hundreds of thousands of people are injured in crashes because of distracted driving.

So throughout the month of November, Rocky Mountain Orthopaedic teamed up with the school district to bring awareness to the problem of distracted driving.

The campaign, called decide to drive month, wrapped up Friday as a booth was set up outside the Warrior Challenge Basketball Tournament at Central High, where plenty of high school students were around to see the fliers and decide to drive instead of text and drive.

"I won't be texting and driving because I've heard some of the stories about the bad things that can happen when you text and drive,” freshman Justin Mcsparren said. “People that text and drive in their cars can crash into you instead."
