GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- Happy National Donut Day!

To celebrate, deputies are turning the tables on the old "cop and donut" stereotype.

Instead of eating them, the Mesa County Sheriff's Office will be selling the delicious round treat from Daylight Donut for $1.

Proceeds will so to the St. Baldrick's Foundation, which works to conquer childhood cancers.

Stop by the MCSO at 215 Rice Street between 8 a.m. and noon Friday to support the cause.

MCSO deputies, as well as Fruita and Grand Junction Police officers, will also be shaving their heads to raise money for St. Baldrick's. The "Shave to Save" event will be June 29 at 11 a.m. at Kannah Creek Brewing Company - Edgewater Tap and Grill (905 Struthers Avenue).

You can donate to the deputies' or officers' teams anytime by clicking the links below.
