GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Tuesday, December 4th is Colorado Gives Day. To carry on the spirit of giving, an anonymous donor has agreed to triple all donations to one local non-profit.

"Light Gives Heat" employs about 120 people in Uganda, Africa. The local non-profit sells handmade jewelry, accessories and more from their employees, giving women there a chance to provide for themselves and improve their communities

"Our hope is to not only meet real needs in Uganda through the purchasing of products," said founder David Hansow, "but we get to tell those stories back in America in the hopes of inspiring other people here through the sale of these products."

On December 4th, all donations to "Light Gives Heat" will be tripled by a private donor, but it can only happen through the listed website. To donate, follow the link below.

Other organizations participating in Colorado Gives Day include CASA-MC, CLAWS, Grand Mesa Nordic Council, Mesa Land Trust, Riverside Educational Center, Western Colorado Congress, and Western Slope Center for Children.
