GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - A drunk driver plowed through a fence and parked cars before neighbors could stop him from getting away.

It happened on 17th and Chipeta around 8:45 Saturday morning.

Police say 33-year old Wayne Crosby was traveling east bound down the 1700 and 1800 blocks of Chipeta when he hit a fence.

He turned around, then drove into two parked cars, causing significant damage.

Neighbors surrounded the car and prevented Crosby from leaving until police could arrive.

Authorities say he was driving under the influence of at least alcohol. He also had a warrant out for his arrest for missing a court appearance.
