Elementary school teacher put on paid leave

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - It was just a week ago Fruita 8/9 teacher Randy Majors was arrested after police say he sent inappropriate messages to students.

Now a Pear Park Elementary School teacher has been put on paid administrative leave. That happened Monday.

Information is limited at this time as the investigation is ongoing, but officials at the Mesa County Sheriff's Office have confirmed the situation involves an underage person. They have also launched the Complex Crime Unit, which handles sex crimes and crimes against children.
