GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) For the 22,000 uninsured Mesa County residents and others looking for insurance options, they can now go to www.ConnectforHealthCO.com and shop around for the best insurance plan for them.

Hilltop's Health Access is a certified assistance center and people who need help navigating through different plans can either call or set up an appointment with one of the staff members there.

Rhonda Lofing, Health Access Manager, said the question being asked the most is about financial help for low income people.

Her advice is start by going to the website and utilizing the financial calculator. That way you can figure out how much your insurance plan will be and if you can fit it into your budget.

Enrollment will stay open until March 31st. As long as you are insured during the last nine months of 2014, you will not be fined.

If you want to have insurance by January 1, 2014, you have to sign up for a plan no later than December 15th.
