GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) – The Red Cross is working to find a family a home Saturday night after a fire burns through their entire house.
Firefighters were dispatched to 300 South Redlands Road around 6:20 p.m. Saturday evening.
Two engines, two trucks, one ambulance and a battalion chief all worked to defensively fight the house fire, meaning no firefighters were sent inside because the house was already a complete loss when they arrived.
Fortunately crews were able to keep the fire just to the one property.
An adult and three children were home when it started, but all were able to safely escape without injury.
The Red Cross is working with the family to find them shelter.
The fire is still under investigation as crews work to find the cause.
