GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. For the first time ever on Tuesday night the Grand Valley Trails Alliance held a public roundtable meeting. The well attended meeting was held at the Central Services Building, in downtown Grand Junction.

The idea of the roundtable is to try to enhance the planning, and working on the management of the trails.

Since there are many different uses for the trails such as hiking, atv's, and biking in the grand valley area the idea is to gather input from the public.

"As it progresses with the BLM and with the forest service if we can get some organization behind our efforts it might hold water when we go to them with some trail ideas," says Randy Miller, G.J.

The trails alliance roundtable will meet on the last Tuesday of every month. The meetings are open to the public.
