Friday Fish Fry

Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) –Catholic families during the season of lent abstain from eating meat on Fridays.

For about ten years now the Immaculate Heart of Mary, on 26 1/2 road , has held a Friday fish fry, during the lent season.

The fish fry is put on by the Knights of Columbus. Those who attend say its a great community builder. "We’re all in it together and its a good time to visit and meet new people and just enjoy life,” says Carroll Multz, a parish member.

Friday fish fry goes through the Lent season, from 4 till 7 pm. It cost adults $8, kids $7, and children under 6 eat free. The proceeds allow the Knights of Columbus to help other local charities.
