Fruita, Colo. (KKCO) --- A team of students from Fruita High School will be representing Colorado at the National FFA Veterinary Sciences Competition in October.
The team, made up of Brody Klinglesmith, Katie Vidmar, Melissa Murphy, and Lucy Colson, swept the state competition, winning first, second, third and fourth at the awards ceremony.
"Nationals is a lot bigger for us," says Colson, a rising Junior. "But because we love it so much and we seem to all retain the knowledge pretty well, nationals is going be fun for us this year."
The team is currently looking for donations to help fund their trip to the national competition. They have reached out to veterinarians all across Colorado, but still need your help.
