FRUITA, Colo. (KKCO) -- A Fruita trailer park is startled awake by a shooting early Friday morning.

Fruita Police Sergeant John Coughran says officers received reports of shots fired at 4:55 a.m. at 825 E. Ottley Avenue.

When they arrived, a man had already fled in a white Cadillac.

No one was injured by the shots, but a vehicle and a trailer were damaged.

Officers were able to recover the Cadillac, but the suspect is still at large. Police know who he is but are not releasing his identity.

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation is now helping to analyze the scene, Coughran says.
