GJ Lions Club Fund Request Form
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) – All the fundraising work by the Grand Junction Lions Club is now paying off for local nonprofits.
Every year, the club gives away around $100,000 for community projects. The money comes from the annual carnival and raffle in February, the largest one-day fundraiser for a Lions Club worldwide.
Now, members are accepting applications for organizations that want to put that money to good use.
Nonprofits can download the PDF version of the application attached to the top of this story. They can also pick up copies at Brown’s Shoe Fit at 425 Main Street.
All applications must be turned in at Brown’s Shoe Fit. The deadline is Oct. 31 at 5 p.m.
Every year, the club gets between 75 and 100 applications for the money, and each request ranges from a few thousand to hundreds of thousands of dollars.
